A break in space time through higher dimensions is something of a mystery to unravel. The slightest idea of something being able to cause real life teleportation is something that would blow even the sharpest of minds. Imagine this: you take a piece of paper and mark two X’s on it within a horizontal axis. The distance from one to another is lengthy. However, if you were to fold the paper so that both xs are lined up on top of each, and poke a pencil through the paper, the distance from one to another is relatively 0. That is what a wormhole accomplishes. Wormholes bend the fabric of space-time, so that if you were to go through one; say in our solar system, you would come out in a completely different solar system or even galaxy. Wormholes are highly speculative, though, and are only a solution to the Einstein Field Equations. Highly theoretical, and yet amazing, wormholes are a reminder to the human race that the wonders of the universe are still to be discovered in the mystery we call life.
